Footprint Keychain Craft

Footprint Keychain

This fathers day we made a footprint keychain. They turned out quite cute! If I do say so myself! This could be made with your childs hand or even their own artwork, for any occasion. Have fun and let your imagination be your guide! Please excuse the lack of photos, I was not planning to post this craft so I didn't take as many as I normally would.

Charlotte's favorite Butternut Squash
this one is a super easy yummy first food (4-6 mo.)
Ingredients (Supplies):

  • Butternut squash (as many as you want to make)
  • and deep baking dish/cake pan
  • large spoon and knife
  • water
  • pureeing device of your choice (see here for details)

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Wash your squash.
  • Cut squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and stringy guts.
  • Place cut side down in your baking dish arranging as you like to fit as many as possible.
  • Pour in water to about half inch in depth.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes. Skin will turn deep dark brown and shrink to a pucker.
  • Allow to cool and scoop out the "meat"
  • Puree to desired constancy and follow procedures above for my freezing method or create your own method!
I use the same exact process for Apples and Pears too!

Teething Bling Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

My first giveaway is from Teething Bling by Smartmom Jewelry. This is only fitting because the first blog giveaway I ever won was from teething bling. See here for that story.
My sample arrived in this packaging. Amber folded it when she brought it in from the mailbox
About Teething Bling:
Kendra and Amy started Teething Bling in 2002. Teething Bling is beautiful, stylish jewelry for mom that is safe for baby to chew and pull on. We have all fallen victim to a curious baby attack on our jewelry. Not only can it be costly but unsafe for baby! Kendra and Amy are committed to safety, customer service and giving back to the community. And I must say I have never seen service like theirs! You can read the www.smartmomjewelry.com  history here.

Now for the review:

Close up of the color specks
The size is perfect for little hands to hold and bite at the same time. This is my hand ;)

The clasp.

I would like to extend a big "thank you" to Smartmom jewelry for sponsoring my first giveaway and inspiring moms everywhere!

Review Score (details):
1. Does it do what it claims? Yes. A very BIG yes in fact.
2. Is it easy to use? Yes. I put it around my neck and my 7 month old (almost 8) goes nuts.
3. Is it a good value? Considering the amount of money women spend on jewelry and the fact that this is also soothing and fun for baby that's a BIG YES too. You are getting 2 things in one for a price less than what you would spend on only one of them!
4. Is it safe? Yes. From their website
Teething Bling® is the original teething jewelry. Made from the same FDA-approved material as most teething toys, our pendants and bangles look great on the adult wearer but are safe for curious babies to handle and chew.
Our products are non-toxic, phthalate, BPA, PVC, latex and lead free and all pendants come with a breakaway clasp as an added safety measure.
5. Is it durable? Yes. The pendant is made to be chewed on... The cord is made with a break away clasp which is very handy it just pops together and apart without any levers or complicated springs to break.

Overall score: 5/5 Stars! A perfect score for Teething Bling

Teething Bling has generously offered one of my lucky readers a Teething Bling pendant of their own. Including their newest additions. Are you ready? the Shimmer Line!!!!

Visiting from the finding new friends blog hop?

Comment here and I will follow back!! Don't forget to like on Facebook and follow on Twitter ==============>

Have you heard of CrowdTap?

I just started with Crowdtap.com. Basically its a market research site that allows you to earn money for the charity of your choice and for yourself. I just signed up to get a free pair of jeans from Old Navy for me and a friend!
From their website:
"When you have more than $9.99 in cash available, you can redeem your earnings. 5% will automatically go to the charity you selected which Crowdtap will match. You can choose to donate the rest for your charity or get an Amazon gift card e-mailed to you."
You can also join discussions, sample product and host Parties. I haven't been a member long enough to enjoy these benefits but I will definitely be keeping everyone updated. It sounds pretty cool and I have already reached level 3 (almost level 4)
other companies you could be helping out are: Playtex, MSN, Pepperidge Farm, AOL, and Bing. Just to name a few. Definitely worth checking out!
