Baby Bond Nursing Cover Review and Giveaway(CLOSED)

I am very excited to tell you about the Baby Bond Nursing Cover I get to review! The fabric is so soft and lightweight. I love how it rolls into itself into a pocket so it's the perfect size to toss into a diaper bag or purse! As for its intended purpose ;) Charlotte does not like having her face covered and sweats a lot too. So keeping her uncovered is the only option. Please watch the video below to see how it is used and all the features!

Now for the review:

Nursing from the bottom:

Nursing from the top:

All rolled up!

I would like to extend a big "thank you" to BabyBond Nursing for sponsoring this giveaway and supporting nursing in public!

Review Score (details):
1. Does it do what it claims? Yes. Absolutely! Except when Charlotte tries to pull it off :)
2. Is it easy to use? Yes. Once you get the hang of it. I watched the video to make sure I was doing it right, but I posted one too.
3. Is it a good value? Yes I thought the price was a little high but when I got it and stopped using the other covers I have I realized it was quite worth it. Plus, I have a code for 25% off for you! Use the code "MOMMY" when you check out.
4. Is it safe? Yes. When Charlotte is covered she sweats a lot. Keeping her in the open air is important.
5. Is it durable? Yes. The fabric is 100% cotton and machine washable. Definitely lasts the test of time.

Overall score: 5/5 Stars! A perfect score for BabyBond

searching for a teething recipe

I have been looking for a recipe for teething biscuits or cookies for Charlotte and I have found a couple I plan to try. Here are a couple recipes. I will do a follow up post with pics after I try them. If you have any you would like to share or maybe one you tried but didn't care for please send them my way :)

Here's a link to Zwieback Toast on wholesomebabyfood.com I didn't want to infringe on any copyrights so I didn't copy the recipe.

This recipe is based on one from wholesomebabyfood.com I made some tweaks therefore I believe it is violation free :) I haven't made them yet so if you do please let me know how they turn out!

Teething Biscuit Recipes - Eggless Baby Cereal Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup flour 1 cup dry infant rice cereal
cube thawed(not warm though) any flavor puree (about an 1-2 oz. please see my recipe page for info on making purees for your baby)

1 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg (or both)
3 tablespoons cooking oil
cold water

Directions:
Preheat oven 425F
Mix flour and cereal.
Gradually stir in oil and puree. Start mixing in cold water a little at a time, starting with about 1/4 cup until dough begins to form a ball and pull away from the bowl.
Put dough into a piping bag or zip top baggy with a snipped corner and pipe into small bars, rounds, hearts, letters or whatever you like on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 min. or until lightly brown. Cool completely.

Store in an airtight container. You could use flavored baby cereal and omit the puree if you choose. You could also leave it unflavored as well!

 Happy Baking!

Dumb Breastfeeding Comments Blog Hop

This post is part of the Breastfeeding Blog Hop hosted by Life With Levi and co-hosted by The Slacker Mom and Diary of a Devil Dog Wife. This week's topic is Dumb Breastfeeding Comments. Scroll down to see more posts or even better, link up and join the fun!

I 've never really thought about dumb questions when it comes to breastfeeding. I just shrug it off as people not understanding because I couldn't face the reality that people put too much faith in what society and the media say is normal. I want to write about my experience because I don't think there is enough emphasis on how NORMAL breastfeeding is. Here's a brief summary of why it's normal followed by my Dumb Comment story.

Lovely Pocket Diapers Review & Giveaway!(CLOSED)

OUR WINNER!! CONGRATS!

Hi there! My name's Melissa. My wonderful husband and I recently became first time parents! Our beautiful daughter was born on Thanksgiving day 2010, and boy were we thankful for her! As a way to save money, I began to use prefold cloth diapers on her when she was about 2 weeks old. I was pretty nervous about trying it, but after the first couple of days I was addicted! I began to research cloth diapering and discovered the one size pocket diaper. I had to have them, but couldn't manage to find an affordable option. Being a naturally frugal individual, I just couldn't accept the idea of paying $15-$30 for ONE diaper! After much research and diaper testing I found a wonderful manufacturer and began a small business relationship with them. I decided I was going to help others to be able to enjoy absolutely awesome pocket diapers without breaking the bank. So here it is! I will be adding additional prints and colors with time, but for now I hope I can help to bring an inexpensive option to your family and home.
