This Irish girl is getting ready for St. Paddy's with a review for Funny Irish T-Shirts

Before I begin I must let you know that the site I am reviewing does contain some language that you might not say in front of your mother. If you catch my drift. If you are planning a night out this St. Pat's, without the Tots in tow, and have a sense of humor you won't mind a bit! I will NOT be using any of that language here, so if you are at work you should be safe! Now, with that said, I begin:
I don't know if you have noticed in any of my photos/videos buuuuut... There may be a wee bit of Irish in my blood. So, I enjoy showing it off maybe more than just that once a year! Last year I was unable to partake in one of the alcohol related holidays I enjoy. I was nursing a 3 month old and was not much in the partying mood anyway. I spent my night partying late with Charlotte at least that's what it may have been for her!
I don't need a holiday to tell me when to be proud though! In fact, I might own more than my share of Irish related garments. And not all of them are green! Heck, I sport my Irish everyday with my traditional Claddagh Wedding ring! That is why I jumped at the chance to review one of these Funny Irish T-Shirts. Because I was reviewing for my family friendly readers (you), I wanted to be mindful of the fact that you might be viewing this review with your children in the room hovering over your shoulder or sitting in your lap. So I chose a very cute one! Are you ready?

A large 4 leaf clover with lots of little clovers, hearts and peace signs inside! This shirt style is the mens T-Shirt Style. You can get a shirt in a more feminine cut like the Girly Tee or spaghetti strap tank. They are even available as a hoodie!

Wanna see some of the other styles I liked?

The fabric is very good quality! I found it to be a little stiff at first but after washing that went away. It did shrink a little bit but because it is a mens cut shirt it was little big to start out, after the wash it fit perfectly.
The printing is very high quality. Some of the shirts they sell have rhinestones. I didn't have the opportunity to see them firsthand but I think they would hold up quite well too.

I received a sample in exchange for my review. I was compensated in no other way. The opinions here are 100% mine. I am under no obligation to give a positive review.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

For this giveaway the winner can choose from one of these 4 cookie bouquets:

I chose to review the Hot Stuff Bouquet! There is a funny little story to explain that. When Hubby and I were living in our first apartment we were pretty young and he was the only one working to support Amber and I at 18. One Valentine's Day I thought I would go the practical route for a gift. It was time to replace some of his boxers. So I bought him some holiday themed shorts. It became a joke and so for Father's Day I decided it would be funny to get him a package of boxers. We had a good laugh about it so I decided this would be a regular thing! Since then, almost 12 years ago, for every holiday, (Easter, Christmas, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, you name it!) He has gotten some sort of boxer shorts. When I saw that adorable bouquet I immediately thought of our long running joke and thought that would be an interesting twist. Almost like an "edible" version!
This is what I received:
 Very carefully and thoroughly wrapped!

Under the outside wrapping there was bubble wrap!

Behind the boxers... This is not going anywhere!

The adorable pre-assembled Hot Stuff Cookie Bouquet!
The Cookies were individually wrapped to keep fresh while on display!

The taste test! Yummy!

The cookies were soft and quite large! The black royal icing only tinted my lips for a few minutes. I ate this on  the way to pick Amber up from school and she had no idea!

Sponsor Spotlight Review ~ Dancing Deer Baking Co.

About Dancing Deer
Dancing Deer Baking Co. bakes the MOST delicious goodies you lips will ever have the pleasure of touching! They bake fabulous treats from scratch using all natural ingredients and no preservatives! Do I have your attention now? They take pride in caring for our environment by making eco friendly choices in their packaging and production facilities as well as contributing to the community through the Sweet Home Project

Dancing Deer History
I have included some information from their website here but you can read the whole history HERE:
Incorporated in April 1994 to provide high quality, all-natural baked goods to accompany the growing market for gourmet coffee, we started out in a former pizza parlor on a busy street corner with a couple of convection ovens. Our specialty was cakes, sold primarily to cafes and restaurants. In 1996 we brought out a line of packaged consumer goods under the Dancing Deer label. Not long after that we opened the doors to passers by who demanded access and forced us in to having a small retail operation. We surprised ourselves, and a lot of other people, when we won the Food Industry's equivalent of the "Oscars" in 1997 for our Molasses Clove Cookie. That same year, a food writer from (no kidding) Hollywood arrived at our counter looking for directions. Before we could really comprehend what was happening, Dancing Deer was on national TV being touted as making the "best cake in America".
I was given the EXTREME pleasure of testing this Be My Valentine Gift Medley
This is the photo from DancingDeer.com:
8 signature Molasses Clove cookies, 3 hand decorated buttery Vanilla Heart Cookies & 4 of the most amazing Chocolate Chunk Brownies I have ever tasted!

This is what I got:
A hand written note from Laura who I spoke with on the phone!
The "baked on" date card with storage instructions. No preservatives means eat or freeze! I have a feeling there will be none left to freeze!!!

The cute box! Ready to be unwrapped!

After taking off the ribbon...

The treasure I found! Decadent brownies, packaged neatly,
Soft spicy Molasses Clove cookies and
Individually wrapped buttery vanilla cookies!

A blurry view of the generous size of the signature Dancing Deer Molasses Clove cookie!

My absolute favorite Brownie Food Everything! As big as my hand!

Another large, crispy, buttery delicious vanilla cookie!

The Verdict
AMAZING! These are the best brownies I have ever tasted! Hubby agrees! There were 4 brownies in this package and 3 of us eating them... There may have been a scuffle over the last one, and I won't name names but hair pulling was not allowed! OK maybe it didn't go that far, but Mommy won! Of course!
The molasses clove cookies were soft and scrumptious! If you are a fan of gingerbread cookies this one is for you! These just melt in your mouth!
The Vanilla cookies were delicious too. If you like shortbread cookies you will love these. They are buttery and have a delightful crunch. The sugar crystals add even more to the crunch.

Where can you buy them?
You can buy Dancing Deer Baking Co. in a variety of natural food stores. You can find one near you HERE!
And of course you can buy them online for yourself or have them delivered to a special someone!

You know I love my puppies, right?

Well I do and you can see a cute photo on my last Wordless Wednesday. We got a new puppy who might be named Bacon. We have had her since before Christmas and still unsure about the name, lol. We did the same thing with Charlotte, she wasn't named until the day after she was born because we just weren't "in love" with any particular name. Anyway, I wanted to tell you about a company I just found. They are Dublin Dog! They do more than just make dog stuff. They make recycled dog collars and leashes from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles (Cute, too. Cherry blossoms) and waterproof (stink proof) collars. They started a foundation called the Dublin Dog Foundation Here's a little bit about that:

The Dublin Dog Foundation: We Should All Be So Lucky™
Established in 2008, the mission of The Dublin Dog Foundation is to foster the therapeutic and service roles of dogs in the development, support, and inspiration they provide to their human companions. Its goals are to:
• Increase the service and therapeutic role of dogs in human health, development and service
• Generate awareness and support for national programs and organizations designed to foster the unique relationship between humans and the dogs that assist them
• Support those organizations and individuals whose goals and ideology are aligned to the Dublin Dog Foundation in the development of therapy and service dogs
• Decrease financial strain of other non-profit organizations by providing product donation for their lucky dogs

They are also having a contest on Facebook! You could win a No Stink collar (winner every week), or the big package valued over  $385! The big package winner will be chosen Feb13th! So go like their FB page and enter to win!
I am not being paid for this post. I did not receive anything in exchange for this post. I really just like the company and what they stand for. I am entered in this contest and if you sign up you are using me as a referrer. Thank you!

Here is a sample Valentine's Day poem written by Jill:

I recall this Valentine’s Day how we first met
It was a day I for one will never forget
With my mom at a table, you walked right on passed
It was California Adventure and you winked at me fast
Being the shy one, for me it was hard
So my mom wrote my number on her business card
When we are together, time just flies by
I am always smiling and it’s no wonder why
I love the time we spend at the beach,
That the shooting range is always in reach,
I love the Blue Bayou and Mr. Stocks as you know,
The Summit House and all the places we go
Catalina Island via helicopter ride
I couldn’t make the boat no matter how I tried
But one of my fondest memories still
Was a romantic night that was truly a thrill
The rooftop at Disneyland for the fireworks show
I fall more in love each place that we go
After being together for one and a half years
I love you so much it can bring me to tears
Each time that we kiss I get butterflies
When you make me laugh I get tears in my eyes
You know all of me, even what goes on inside
Yet when you touch my hand it’s like a roller coaster ride
Each day that passes, more memories we make
And I treasure each moment I share with you Blake
I am so happy you are spending this time with your Panda
I love you completely, your sweetheart, Amanda

From Our Hearts to Yours Sponsor Spotlight Review ~ Union28

My Husband Rocks Tees & more @ Union28.net

As a mom of 2 Valentine's Day might consist of a movie date or mini golf. Some kind of "jeans and T-shirt"date. I would love to dress up for a night on the town, but I'm going to be realistic! I'm also going to confess that we usually have more like a "Family Date" believe it or not, we actually enjoy each others' company! Amber will be 12 soon and I know the day will come where she is just going to roll her eyes and stomp to her room when I say "family time". It is rapidly approaching I'm afraid. What better gift for your spouse on your T-shirt date than the shout out to the world that your Husband Rocks? (or wife, more about that later)
Union28 was started by a married couple with a mission to encourage marriages and to honor the sacred covenant between a husband and his wife by communicating a positive image of marriage in a fun and stylish way.
Not only can you find apparel to express your feelings about your own marriage, you can also find information like Marriage Tip Monday and even these awesome encouragement cards for your spouse:

These come in a 4 pack and are blank inside.

I truly believe that marriage is not just for Mom and Dad. Marriage is about family and Union28 did not forget this either! You can include the whole family on the love! From 3 months to a childs 14-16, the whole family can express themselves!

I had the opportunity to review for you this cute "My Husband Rocks" shirt! I love it! I actually ordered a Medium (yay, me! for going down a size) it fits perfect I like where it falls at the hip and the neck isn't too confining. At first the fabric was a bit stiff but after washing it was great!
Photo taken by: the husband that rocks!
The Quality:
The fabric itself is very durable.
This is not a tagless shirt so I did cut the tag out but no big deal.
It has just enough stretch that it is quite comfortable.
This shirt is sewn very well.
The printing is not cracking or peeling (after 2 washes)

The Service:
Great service! Prompt email responses and as a reviewer I must say very this is a very organized company!

You can buy any of these items and more by clicking any of the photos or links! They even have a great clearance section!

WIN!!
You can win one for a Wife or Husband as part of my package valued over $150 in the From Our Hearts to Yours Blog Hop!
This giveaway will only be valid in the US due to shipping restrictions with perishable goods.

Natural House Cleaning Supplies Review & Giveaway US only

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

We are doing more to try to be green around here. One thing we have been looking at is natural household cleaning products, and I am excited to share with you one of them with you. Natural House cleaning products uses non-toxic probiotics to clean and deodorize your home. Because the probiotics create their own "mini eco system" the enzymes they create keep breaking down waste. So the probiotics keep cleaning for you after you stop!
Here's a video explaining how it works:

I received a 30 day supply of the first 3 products in the line
Trashy is a cleaning spray that is used for cleaning out odors and grime from trash cans and is especially great for DIAPER PAILS. (I actually used it on my countertops too)
Flushy is a foaming pouch that cleans your toilet bowl and train as well as a septic treatment! It cuts through hard water stains and calcium deposits and the probiotics eat away at the paper and waste build up in your pipes and drain.
Sinky is a foaming pouch that is used to clean and deodorize your kitchen sink and garbage disposal. This convenient pouch breaks down grease and food particles which prevents clogged drains.

What did I think?
I love the natural smell of these cleaners. Trashy and Flushy are minty, Sinky is citrus scented. My trash can stayed fresh smelling for a few days after cleaning it with Trashy. When I cleaned the toilet in Amber's bathroom the whole room smelled minty fresh for a while. I know that some people think when they smell bleach or pine that it means clean. To me those smells mean harsh chemicals that can harm my kids and pets.
How well did it work?

  • Trashy worked very well on my trash cans. It also worked well on my coutertops. I was in a pinch and ran out of my normal cleaning spray so I grabbed the next spray bottle under the sink.
  • Sinky: The first time I wasn't too sure how well it worked. I put the pouch, which is similar to a dishwasher detergent pouch, into the garbage disposal and ran the water but because the pouch was inside the drain I couldn't see if it was foaming. But the next time I tried it I made sure to have some water in the drain part of the sink so it would foam up better. This was a big help, the pouch foamed and smelled great!
  • Flushy was awesome! I put the pouch in the toilet. Just plopped it in there and watched! Amber and I stood there staring at the toilet... As the pouch dissolved it released the blue cleaner which immediately started foaming. It ate away most of the staining on the bowl! When we bought this house that toilet was very stained! It is now cleaner than when we moved in!

You can buy Natural House directly from them at http://www.naturalhouse.com/products/ or if you would prefer to use your Amazon prime account or "super saver shipping" you can buy them HERE

You can win a 30 day supply for natural house right here! Natural House has been very generous in offering this giveaway so make you you follow them on Facebook and Twitter!
