Sometimes I wonder how someone could be so dishonest. I work in retail at night as a cashier supervisor and I always see people freak out and cover the pin pad when enter their numbers. I think to myself "me seeing your pin doesn't matter unless I have your card, silly". But in all reality how do you know who is or isn't capable of using your personal information. They don't know me. Sure I look sweet and innocent (most days) but I have caught shoplifters in a suit and tie!

A few years ago I lost my wallet in the woods... Long story, yes there was a few drinks involved. Someone found my wallet and turned it in to the local police station. I got a phone call to come pick it up. On the phone the very nice policeman said "you know you should have your social security card in your wallet, right?" Of course I knew that. I had just gotten hired at my job and needed to take it in to them. I never got around to taking it out! I really dodged a bullet! When I picked up my wallet the lady at the desk said I was lucky because the gentleman who turned it in had been in there before a few times and not a good citizen! If this scares you it should! Identity theft is very serious and in this difficult economy criminals are getting crafty! Finding people to take advantage of is their job!

Cloth Wipes Transition Update!

It has been a while since announcing my switch to cloth wipes so I wanted to share some quick updates! We have not yet completely switched. While I have been using only cloth wipes (except a few times that I forgot to make the solution) I am still trying to get the family to join these efforts. It isn't easy asking everyone (hubby and an 11 year old) to wipe poop off of a butt with something that we will use again! It sounds gross! I understand completely. Amber (the 11 year old) was right on board with the cloth diapers. I think that was because they are cuter than disposables. But I think asking her to not just throw away a piece of cloth covered in poop is just asking too much. Pee diapers are not a problem. In fact, Amber enjoys making the new wipe solution. Hubby sometimes will use a cloth wipe on a pee diaper if I leave him no other option ;) I know I am trying harder and that is important to me!
I wanted to share a quick photo of our changing area with you. Since taking this photo things have changed just a bit. The wipe container that I keep my CLOTH wipes in was thrown away. I'm sure he didn't notice that I have been keeping my wipes in there. Even though that box has been there since Charlotte was born. Men don't always notice little things like that so I will forgive him. We bought a new box wipes... that is empty now and contains my cloth wipes. Same set-up just a different box:

The other thing that has changed is... I bought wipe bits to make a real solution. If you read my first post about or switch to cloth wipes, you might remember that I mentioned I made my own with just water and Tea Tree Oil and didn't care for it. I have been following a shop on Facebook for some time who makes them (along with many other soaps, cleaners, castile, etc.) She posted a deal for her wipe bits and I went for it! 2 for $10. I got a bag of wipe bits (50 in a bag) and a bag of cleaning solution bits. I love them both and I am thinking about a possible review. Perhaps I will ask her about a giveaway... Anyway, the wipe bit are tangerine scented and I love them! They did take a bit of time to dissolve but I didn't mind. As long as I remember to refill before the next change :)

What I have learned so far:

Shake the wipe solution while it dissolves. One time I let it sit while it dissolved and it settled on the bottom of the bottle, then when the water cooled it semi-solidified... Shaking as it dissolved solved this!
Be patient with my family and eventually they will come around.
If I keep clean wipes in the container it is less likely to get thrown away.
If I keep clean wipes in the container they are more likely to get used while I am away.
Using a disposable is not the end of the world! It gets the job done, next time I will remember to have solution ready!

My experience:

I chose the Zip-On style because I have been wanting some new slip on shoes. Since having Charlotte my shoes don't fit as well anymore. At least that's the excuse I use to get new shoes and maybe clothes! Let's start my experience with the shipping. My Zipz were shipped in a fabulous Zipz shoe box inside another shipping box. Care was definitely taken to insure that my awesome new kicks arrived in excellent condition. (Mom's can say "Kicks" right? I just picture Amber rolling her eyes)
The selection of styles is very hip and could really be for any age! Don't worry if you don't think your hip enough, they have solid colors too. But I assure you, you are hip enough to wear these! They are double padded and are comfortable enough for me to wear to my cashier job. I would have to say that they were a little on the larger side. I love this because children can still grow into them and I worry about buying shoes online just in case they are too small. No worries here! I also love the construction of Zipz. My experience:

I received a pair of Lisbon clogs in black ($169) to review for this amazing giveaway! These clogs are traditional Swedish clogs, they are handmade in Sweden! They clogs are gorgeous! The workmanship on them is incredible! They are literally wood base with leather top and metal hardware! Nothing synthetic at all.
One important thing to look for when choosing footwear is comfort. While these clogs are super cute, you do have to remember they are CLOGS! The natural wooden base is not the same as the rubber soled shoes we are used to. What does that mean? It takes some getting used to. I usually can break in a pair of shoes fairly quickly. A wooden soled shoe doesn't really "break in". Yes the leather top flexes and stretches a bit, but for the most part you are wearing brand new shoes months later. If you wear heels often these clogs should be no problem getting comfortable in. For me, these beautiful clogs are for special occasions, I will not be wearing them to my cashier job at the hardware store, lol.
When I was sending in my size, I was asked to double check the size because clogs can be "iffy". I triple check the size chart and went with a 38 which is the US equivalent to a 7.5-8. I usually wear an 8 and have only gone bigger than that when pregnant. Apparently my feet didn't go back down all the way after having Charlotte like they did after having Amber. They were a little snug. I would recommend going a size up. Especially if you are on the higher end of the US size for the European size.

Our Experience:

These boots are super cute! I love that they match but are not matchy-matchy. If that makes any sense... They are both the same color schemes and have the same style flowers, but the colors are positioned in such a cute opposite fashion! This kinda takes me back to my "Punky Brewster" days. I love that the flowers are dimensional and POP from the boot! The little bee on the side is also raised for even more cuteness and texture. The icing on the cake is the zig zag tops!

The craftmanship is very high quality! Every seam is sealed to provide an excellent watertight barrier. The thickness of the "fabric" provides supreme durability, and the sole has a very nice tread to prevent slipping!

My Renaissance Festival Costume Video Review!

The AZ Renaissance Festival started on February 11th this year! Amber went with her school as a reward field trip and I wasn't able to chaperon because I can't take Charlotte with me. I'm hoping to make a trip this year with the family! Amber already has a costume that we paid over $100 for at the fair! I thought it was about time for Mommy to get a costume too!
I have the pleasure of partnering with a fantastic wholesale costume site called Wholesale Halloween Costumes. They are much more than a Halloween costume site! You can also find costumes for holidays and parties, accessories for costumes, makeup, party decorations/props, holiday themed party accessories and even mascot costumes! (see my video at the bottom of this post)

OK This inflatable tops the cake! I totally want the "Stay Puft Marshmallow Man" at my surprise 80's themed 30th birthday party (that I only imagine in my head)!

The costume I received for this years Renaissance Festival and this review is the Peasant Lady Costume!

This costume is 2 pieces. The dress is all one piece. The top is gauze and has an elastic ruffle around the top and at the elbow. The bottom of the dress is a green crushed velvet type material. The velvet is much shinier than this picture shows, you may be able to see that better in the video.

The second piece of this costume is the corset (bodice) piece. The corset ties in the back at the waist and at the neck just like a halter top. The corset piece is almost like a foam material, it is slightly padded. On the outside the fabric is a faux leather and brown velvet type material. As I stated in my video it appears very convincing! This piece laces up in the front with a shiny gold ribbon. Keep in mind that this is not an actual cinching corset, therefore, it will not actually hold in anything :)

Overall this costume is fairly well made and is very comfortable! This is definitely something that is easily worn for the whole day without any issues. If I am gentle enough I could make this last for a few years for Renaissance Festival use only. I would definitely recommend checking out Wholesale Halloween Costumes for your next party! Whether it is Halloween or not!!

Amber has been wearing glasses since she was 3 years old! We use her glasses as an accessory just like a necklace or earrings. However, since glasses are expensive and little girls get bored so easily we have found a way to change things up on her glasses with Ficklets! I am even thinking about getting some for my sunglasses!
Sometimes when someone has a brilliant idea that really takes off it is referred to as a "kitchen table idea" Ros (the genius behind Ficklets) calls Ficklets her "couch potato idea" because she was literally sitting on the couch when she had her stroke of genius! To be quite honest I am jealous that I don't wear glasses! There are even styles that would be great for adults! Animals, dice flip flops, shapes, lips, cupcakes, Breast Cancer Awareness, jack-o-lanterns, snowflakes, A vast selection!!!

My experience (and Amber's):

Once we read the directions they were easy to get attached to her glasses and after changing them a few times, Amber is a pro! They look adorable! The only thing that I found an issue with is unavoidable. The elastic bands get stretched out. I haven't had an issue yet but I can see that the elastic is losing its hold on her frames. This is not a big deal because you can buy replacement elastics right on the website!

Picture this: You are putting cute little socks on your baby's tiny feet. You turn to grab the shoe and when you turn around... that sweet little face is smiling up at you, sock in hand and bare feet again! How many times has this happened to you?

Scenario #2: Easter morning (insert any holiday requiring a dress) But it's too cold for bare legs! So, you grab the tights. You roll up the first leg and put it on a tiny foot and proceed to the second leg... As soon as you get the second foot in, the first one is off. You finally get both legs on and pull the tights up over the diaper and guess what? Diaper change... Let the process begin again! Tights are not comfortable! I know I remember hating to wear tights, the crotch part would end up at my knees, the toes would be twisted and that wasn't even with a diaper on! Not, to mention what a pain they are for Mom!

When I discovered baby leggings I thought it was such a great idea and Charlotte has a bunch of them! They make diaper changes a cinch and protect crawling knees! The fabric is super duper soft!! They have some very cute prints available! A genius idea! They washed very well and still looked brand new afterward! They are stretchy enough that she will definitely be wearing these for a while! I absolutely LOVE these and there is not a single thing I would change!!

Recycle Craft: Valentine's Necklace using paper towel/TP tubes! Great for kids!

Have you ever seen a craft or recipe and said "Hey! I have all of that!" It doesn't happen that often for me but I came up with this with Amber's help! We are going to make hearts out of paper towel tubes. I used toilet paper tubes that NEVER made it to the trash can. But if you are brave enough to check your bathroom trash I won't tell anyone! Enjoy:

Supplies and tools:
Paper towel or toilet paper tubes
Scissors
Glue (I used Tacky glue, Hot glue or staples will do the trick)
Clothespins or paperclips to hold until glue dries
Paint (I used spray paint but I think brushing on acrylic or latex would give more coverage)
Beads (See my Duct Tape Beads Tutorial)
Ribbon or string

Step 1:
Smash down your tube folding it in half.

Step 2:
Cut approximately 1/2 inch strips I got 5 from a toilet paper tube. I could have gotten 6.

Step 3:
Turn one of the folds inside the tube creating your heart shape.

Step 4:
Put a drop of glue in the top fold of your heart between the arches and secure with a clothespin, bobby pin, paperclip etc. Of course if you use a staple you can omit this part :)

I found it difficult to get the stapler inside the heart but if you can do it, go for it!

Step 5:
Wait for the glue to dry (If you used hot glue or staples go ahead and skip this, I just really wanted to use this photo, lol)

Step 6:
Paint and allow to dry.

While you wait you could:
Make some Duct Tape beads,
Read a chapter of a book,
Have some lunch,
Take a bubble bath!

Step 7:
Cut a slit in the side of each heart to string then through. (I used scissors but a craft knife or skewer would also work)

Almost invisible : /

Step 8:

Alternate hearts with beads on your ribbon or string and tie the ends!

Viola! You have made a handmade, recycled, cute, crafty necklace!

Craft: Duct Tape Beads Tutorial! EASY

Do you remember making paper beads when you were little. Scribbled or painted paper glued and rolled around a pencil? Well, I didn't want to wait for glue to dry because I wanted to use the beads right away. I spotted my trusty Duct Tape and the wheels started turning. I know I'm probably not the first to think this up but hey, I'm proud of my creation anyway! Here's how I did it:

Supplies:

Duct tape

Small Dowel/pencil/straw, something the size you want the hole to be.

Scissors

Take a 4-6 inch long piece of duct tape and cut long triangles.

Use good scissors the tape is sticky, obviously, lol.

Fold up the wider end high enough so that when you wrap it around your dowel the sticky side doesn't touch it!

Like this!

Then roll! Try to keep your point in the center-ish. Any wrinkles will be covered anyway!

Finished beads!

The hole to string will go through!

Viola!! Now, go string your beads!

Mommies like smelly stuff right? Well, I do! It's part of being a girl! One of the yummy smelling things we like is soap. Not only gets you clean but leaves you smelling good too. One fabulous soap company that I have had the pleasure of working with is YesterYear Soap. I have been lucky enough to get a package, to review for you, containing 3 different scents!

I received a 3 bar gift set which had Strawberry Vanilla, Orange Patchouli and Night Jasmine. My favorite by far is the night jasmine! Amber got to take the Strawberry Vanilla for her shower. She was amazed by how soft her skin was after her shower. I don't particularly care for patchouli myself but Amber liked it enough to keep it for herself.

YesterYear Soap is made with all natural ingredients. Using natural oils and and essential oils for scent is all they need! And they do a beautiful job with them. I have to say that one of my favorite things about about any holiday is all the sweet treats! I have a major sweet tooth! I do try to make my own treats pretty often but I cheat now and then and buy some... When I got the opportunity to review some heart shaped cookies I was thrilled! Not only did I get some tasty goodness, I didn't have to clean the kitchen to get them!

I love both warmers! They are extremely well made and beautiful. Super easy to use. Just break a cube off and place in the warming dish. Then flip the switch! (I had to turn the bulb a bit because it was loose)

The scents I was sent are lovely! Because they last so long I have only been able to use 2 of them. When heated the scent fills the room within minutes! Love story smells like roses and has a sweet, spicy note to it. The Grapefruit Sage is very refreshing. It smells clean, cool and crisp. I didn't burn the cupcake or Blue water spa yet. Judging from just sniffing the bar cupcake smells just like baking cake with a vanilla sweetness. Blue Water Spa is a clean scent! I would most likely use this one in my bathroom. For some reason, it reminds me of soap, in a good way! Similar to fresh linens!

Before I begin I must let you know that the site I am reviewing does contain some language that you might not say in front of your mother. If you catch my drift. If you are planning a night out this St. Pat's, without the Tots in tow, and have a sense of humor you won't mind a bit! I will NOT be using any of that language here, so if you are at work you should be safe! Now, with that said, I begin:
I don't know if you have noticed in any of my photos/videos buuuuut... There may be a wee bit of Irish in my blood. So, I enjoy showing it off maybe more than just that once a year! Last year I was unable to partake in one of the alcohol related holidays I enjoy. I was nursing a 3 month old and was not much in the partying mood anyway. I spent my night partying late with Charlotte at least that's what it may have been for her!
I don't need a holiday to tell me when to be proud though! In fact, I might own more than my share of Irish related garments. And not all of them are green! Heck, I sport my Irish everyday with my traditional Claddagh Wedding ring! That is why I jumped at the chance to review one of these Funny Irish T-Shirts. Because I was reviewing for my family friendly readers (you), I wanted to be mindful of the fact that you might be viewing this review with your children ~~in the room~~ hovering over your shoulder or sitting in your lap. So I chose a very cute one! Are you ready?

A large 4 leaf clover with lots of little clovers, hearts and peace signs inside! This shirt style is the mens T-Shirt Style. You can get a shirt in a more feminine cut like the Girly Tee or spaghetti strap tank. They are even available as a hoodie!

The fabric is very good quality! I found it to be a little stiff at first but after washing that went away. It did shrink a little bit but because it is a mens cut shirt it was little big to start out, after the wash it fit perfectly.

The printing is very high quality. Some of the shirts they sell have rhinestones. I didn't have the opportunity to see them firsthand but I think they would hold up quite well too.

I chose to review the Hot Stuff Bouquet! There is a funny little story to explain that. When Hubby and I were living in our first apartment we were pretty young and he was the only one working to support Amber and I at 18. One Valentine's Day I thought I would go the practical route for a gift. It was time to replace some of his boxers. So I bought him some holiday themed shorts. It became a joke and so for Father's Day I decided it would be funny to get him a package of boxers. We had a good laugh about it so I decided this would be a regular thing! The Verdict
AMAZING! These are the best brownies I have ever tasted! Hubby agrees! There were 4 brownies in this package and 3 of us eating them... There may have been a scuffle over the last one, and I won't name names but hair pulling was not allowed! OK maybe it didn't go that far, but Mommy won! Of course!
The molasses clove cookies were soft and scrumptious! If you are a fan of gingerbread cookies this one is for you! These just melt in your mouth!
The Vanilla cookies were delicious too. If you like shortbread cookies you will love these. They are buttery and have a delightful crunch. The sugar crystals add even more to the crunch.

Well I do and you can see a cute photo on my last Wordless Wednesday. We got a new puppy who might be named Bacon. We have had her since before Christmas and still unsure about the name, lol. We did the same thing with Charlotte, she wasn't named until the day after she was born because we just weren't "in love" with any particular name. What did I think?

I love the natural smell of these cleaners. Trashy and Flushy are minty, Sinky is citrus scented. My trash can stayed fresh smelling for a few days after cleaning it with Trashy. When I cleaned the toilet in Amber's bathroom the whole room smelled minty fresh for a while. I know that some people think when they smell bleach or pine that it means clean. To me those smells mean harsh chemicals that can harm my kids and pets.

How well did it work?

Trashy worked very well on my trash cans. It also worked well on my coutertops. I was in a pinch and ran out of my normal cleaning spray so I grabbed the next spray bottle under the sink.
Sinky: The first time I wasn't too sure how well it worked. I put the pouch, which is similar to a dishwasher detergent pouch, into the garbage disposal and ran the water but because the pouch was inside the drain I couldn't see if it was foaming. But the next time I tried it I made sure to have some water in the drain part of the sink so it would foam up better. This was a big help, the pouch foamed and smelled great!
Flushy was awesome! I put the pouch in the toilet. Just plopped it in there and watched! Amber and I stood there staring at the toilet... As the pouch dissolved it released the blue cleaner which immediately started foaming. It ate away most of the staining on the bowl! When we bought this house that toilet was very stained! It is now cleaner than when we moved in!

Race to the Moon is a corporate wellness program helps its member get fit through walking or running by offering a free wireless pedometer! I have to say that I don't qualify for the pedometer. To qualify you must be a Health America Member and a legal resident of DE, MD, NJ or PA who are 18 years of age or older. In only one month Race to the Moon participants have walked over 50 MILLION steps!

My experience

I have to tell you a story relating to the scent. The night before Amber's regional spelling bee we (I) decided to bake some cupcakes. I baked them, it got too late to frost them so I covered them and put them in the fridge to frost the next day. The next day my mother-in-law came over. When she saw the freshly frosted cupcakes she said "Those cupcakes smell yummy!" When I told her I baked them the night before she asked me what smelled so good. I pointed at my Diamond Candle. So I guess fresh snow smells like vanilla cupcakes with homemade vanilla buttercream frosting and toasted coconut flakes, lol.
I absolutely love the jar the candle is in!!! Perfectly sleek and modern! I could use the jar for so many things once it is empty. Because it has an airtight lid I could use it to store sugar next to my coffee maker in the kitchen! I might also fill it halfway with water and add a small floating candle or even put a small votive in it!

Let's not forget about the ring! So I wasn't fortunate enough to get the $5000 ring. Shocking right? lol. But the ring I got is beautiful! I gave it to Amber for good luck at her spelling bee that night! She won 2nd place!

Converting to Cloth Wipes the beginning

As most you already know I have been cloth diapering Charlotte since she was about 5 months old. We (mostly me) love the fluff! However, it has been challenging to convert completely to cloth wipes! Currently we are a combo family, meaning we use cloth and disposable wipes.
Mostly I use the disposable wipes for messy diapers and cloth for just about every pee diaper. I think I am the only one in the house using the cloth wipes. I know Amber has used them once or twice. Here's the gross part; because I use disposable wipes for poopy diapers and there is no disposable diaper to wrap them up in, where do I put the wipe? In a trash can next to the changing table. Here's the interesting thing; it doesn't smell like poop in the room...
Why am I afraid to use the cloth for poopy diapers? I'm really not sure. I have no problem cleaning out poopy diapers so what's the big deal? I suppose it could be my wipes, or that I don't like the wipe solution I made. Right now I'm using just plain water with a couple drops of Tea Tree Oil in a squirt bottle.

As I continue my journey through cloth wipes I will be posting info and tips in case you are considering it as well. I hope you find them useful!

What I love about the Incredibum Large Wet Bag

The Size

This Large Wet Bag is awesome! I might even call it extra large. I was able to fit 15 diapers in it with room to spare! It is the perfect size for an 8 gallon diaper pail. The large size is great for more than just diapers. We recently had a plumbing issue that required several towels to clean up in a hurry. When my oldest asked what to do with the wet towels (after I told her not to carry the dripping towels across the carpet) I quickly said, "Grab the new wetbag!" we fit 4 full size soaking wet towels in it. We avoided a cleanup of the carpet to go with the plumbing clean up by using our incredibum wet bag!

The Colors

Do you like color versatility? I do. I am constantly changing things, it's makes life interesting. The incredibum wetbag is reversible! This wet bag is great for taking wet clothes home from the pool or gym. If you have more than one child they can share this bag and reverse the color if they want! You could even color code your laundry with it! The available colors are yellow/green, yellow/red and red/blue.

Functions

The drawstring is very durable. The thickness of the drawstring makes it very durable. The drawstring clip is large and easy to use. Have you ever had your drawstring clip get pulled into the casing? I have, it's not fun.
I normally prefer zippered wetbags. I think they contain smells better. I have to say that I didn't really have any smells escape this wetbag. Even with the drawstring not being completely closed all the time. Perhaps this is due to the PUL lining... I'm not sure, but I'm happy with the result!

What I Might Change

Because of the large size of this bag, which I LOVE, the drawstring doesn't close completely. When you pull the drawstring closed, the casing bunches up a lot. This is what it is supposed to do of course. But the large size means more fabric to gather in a small area. This isn't a big issue for me, I just roll/tuck the opening into the bag.
A solution to this might be a zipper or if there were some way to cut down the amount of fabric in the casing. But I still think this is a wonderful wet bag and I use it often!

Breakfast is FUN! New Frosted Toast Crunch Review & Giveaway

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! I truly believe that! But who has the time to cook anything in the morning? In my house Daddy is gone before 5 a.m. leaving me to wake up Amber, throw her "probably wrinkled" clothes in the dryer for a quick fluff, help with the homework she undoubtedly didn't get finished the night before, sign her book log, nurse Charlotte, change a diaper, get her dressed, remind Amber that her clothes are in the dryer, dig a cell phone out of the couch, find the car keys, I could go on but I'm exhausted just typing it all... We were given the opportunity to try out the new Frosted Toast Crunch Cereal by General Mills!

We decided this taste test would include all of us! We received a box along with a "spilt milk" bowl, "Lickety" spoon, and Frosted Pitcher! Just to make breakfast fun. We (somehow) had a Saturday morning to sit down together and give it a try. There was enough cereal in the box for Me, Daddy and Amber to each have a bowl with enough for one bowl left over. We fought over who got that last bowl a few days later, Amber won.

What did we think?

It was tasty! For a lover of sugary cereal, it definitely hit the spot! The box states it has an "artificial vanilla" coating, we all agreed the vanilla taste could be a bit stronger but was definitely there along with some subtle notes of cinnamon.

I ordered my personalized jigsaw puzzle from Piczzle.com for Amber as a Christmas gift. I had a puzzle made from a photo of her and Charlotte together. She loves to do things with Charlotte so I had the puzzle made with large easy to assemble pieces so that they could do it together. Since making this video Christmas has passed and Amber has already opened the gift! She thought it was awesome!
The photo is great quality, you can even see Charlotte's drool. The cardboard is very sturdy and the photo is attached very well.

Passing the Torch- Breastfeeding blog hop with linky!

I have been following this blog hop for several months. As Jen from Life with Levi passes the torch for the Hop to Erin and Lori (The Slacker Mom & The Gnomes Mom) we write this week about passing the torch! This means so many things to everyone. For the purposes of the breastfeeding blog hop it means to me that I am passing the torch of breastfeeding to my daughters.
Amber turned 10 when we told her we were pregnant with Charlotte. Because of her age I am able to share a lot of things with her about taking care of a baby. She is going to remember all of these things when she becomes a mom. The best message I think I have passed on to her is how good breastfeeding is for baby and for mom. She understands how it works, why we feed babies this way and she even knows that at first it hurts, but that it is worth it!
When Amber has her own children I will be "passing the breastfeeding torch" to her!

Birthday Party Tips: a 1st birthday in Hindsight

OK Charlotte's 1st Birthday was wonderful. She had a blast! Mom on the other hand was a mess!
Here's why:

We planned her party in another state so that everyone who wanted to be there would be able to. So, I packed everything myself and loaded up the truck because Hubby had to work and we would leave straight from there. I made a point to make some of my own decorations. I forgot the Giant Poster Board "1"'s That Amber and I worked very hard on!
I also constructed a Mini Banner to string along the high chair for her Big Cake Smash! AND I actually remembered to bring it... But I forgot to put it on the high chair. But as you can see, Charlotte didn't even notice!
I also didn't get around the party much. There were some guests who should have gotten a little more face time with our Birthday Girl. I must formally apologize to those family members here, I'm sorry!

So here are my "hindsight" tips:

Appoint tasks to some helpers- Have someone in charge of decorations, including the special handmade with love banner for the high chair! Someone in charge of making sure food is refilled as necessary etc. Someone to take photos! Maybe even a list of photo opportunities to look for!
Make as much of the food as you can the days before so you aren't cooking day-of!
Make a checklist!!!!! You can find them all over the internet!
Have someone, besides you, check your list when you are "done" cuz you may not be "done"
Maybe not have Black frosting on the Smashing Cake... unless you like purple baby faces :)

Please make me feel better by telling me your birthday party mishaps, tantrums, meltdown, catastrophes, etc!!!
