My name is Melissa. I have been married to my husband for 9 years. We dated for 7 years before that! If I'm doing the math correctly that is 16 years of give-and-take, sacrifice, love, arguing, memories, fun, hard times and babies!
I'm not here to gush over my kids or show you the cool and cute new baby "necessities". I have a separate blog for that. What Mommy Wants is an outlet of sorts. About 5 years ago we decided to quit our well paid jobs in California and move to Arizona. We started over! In that time I have met a few nice people but really... I have no friends. Sad, but true. As a mom, you need to vent, have girl time, have "wife" time and just stop being a mom for an hour or two!
Sometimes you have to make crude jokes, talk about romance novels, drink some wine and be a woman and wife!
