Mother's Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway Sponsor Spotlight~ Black Hollow Soaps and Scents

The prize package on What Mommy Wants for this event is going to go to one winner and is valued at over $100!
This post will highlight one of our many generous sponsors!
I have been posting about my transition to using cloth wipes. We have been using cloth diapers for almost a year but cloth wipes are proving to be more of a challenge with the rest of my house. We are coming along though! I have pretty much completely switched but hubby will only use them for wet diapers, baby steps, right? You can read more about the journey here and here but today we are going to talk about the wipe bits that started it all for me! They are from Black Hollow Soaps and Scents! I decided to finally take the plunge when Amy posted that she was having a sale for 2/$10! AND I could mix and match with the cleaning bits! SOLD!
Black Hollow Soaps and Scents sells other items as well. Goat's milk soap and products, ranging from true Castile to wipe bits! She has an impressive list of essential oils and additives but here is a few that grabbed my attention:

Essential Oils:
Clary Sage
Ylang Ylang

Chamomile Flower
Lavender Buds
Eucalyptus Leaf
Chocolate Mint Leaf
Coconut oil
Clover Honey
Pure Vermont Maple Syrup (Grade A Dark to be exact)
Grapefruit Seed Extract
Walnut Powder
Fine Pumice Powder
Lemon Peel Granules
Red Rose Petals

"Made to order" soap base ingredients: Saponified oils of coconut, palm, castor and safflower, glycerin, goat's milk, water, sorbitol, and Sorbitan Oleate.

*all ingredients rated 0-1 with Environmental Working Group!!

Here is a little more about the wipe bits:
Wipe Bits (available in Lavender or Tangerine-makes 50 cups): 6.00 shipped
Dissolve one cube in one cup warm water for gentle cleansing!

Our Experience:
I was very pleased with my purchase! The wipe bits I got were tangerine scented and they smelled great! Her bottom was never bothered by the solution and she cleaned up nicely every time! It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Black Hollow Soaps and Scents!
I dissolved the bits 2 different ways. The first time I added hot water to the peri-bottle that you take home with you after giving birth to a wipe bit. I shook the bottle for about 3-5 minutes until the bit was melted. This was the best outcome! The second time made a batch I didn't shake it the whole time and the bit did melt but then settled on the bottom of the bottle and as it cooled the settled soap became almost like a disk because it re-solidified. So I would suggest shaking it until it is done melting to help the oils etc emolsify into the water. These wipe bits work great and are a fantastic price!

Connect with Black Hollow Soaps and Scents:
You can buy your own wipe bits from her shop on Facebook for $6 for a package of 50 bits! She also posts deals and giveaways that you don't want to miss!
