The prize package on What Mommy Wants for this event is going to go to one winner and is valued at over $100!
I have been posting about my transition to using cloth wipes. We have been using cloth diapers for almost a year but cloth wipes are proving to be more of a challenge with the rest of my house. We are coming along though! I have pretty much completely switched but hubby will only use them for wet diapers, baby steps, right? You can read more about the journey here and here but today we are going to talk about the wipe bits that started it all for me! They are from Black Hollow Soaps and Scents! Here is a little more about the wipe bits:
Wipe Bits (available in Lavender or Tangerine-makes 50 cups): 6.00 shippedDissolve one cube in one cup warm water for gentle cleansing!
Our Experience:
I was very pleased with my purchase! The wipe bits I got were tangerine scented and they smelled great! Her bottom was never bothered by the solution and she cleaned up nicely every time! It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Black Hollow Soaps and Scents!
I dissolved the bits 2 different ways. The first time I added hot water to the peri-bottle that you take home with you after giving birth to a wipe bit. I shook the bottle for about 3-5 minutes until the bit was melted. This was the best outcome! The second time made a batch I didn't shake it the whole time and the bit did melt but then settled on the bottom of the bottle and as it cooled the settled soap became almost like a disk because it re-solidified. So I would suggest shaking it until it is done melting to help the oils etc emolsify into the water. These wipe bits work great and are a fantastic price!

Eucalyptus would be interesting. Also chocolate mint leaves, although I'm not sure I want to associate a chocolate mint smell with my daughter's dirty bottom!
