Manic Mommy Monday ~ Is Tardiness Hereditary?

I think it's just a ranting kind of Monday! I did the same... I totally know what you are going through! My parents were always late when I was growing up. Then my dad remarried and my stepmom was all about being on time. Somewhere along the way I developed anxiety if I was late to things. I would show up super early for work, school, whatever! My husband is always late... I started having panic attacks when we would be running late for things. Now I work for my dad and he tends to run late for jobs, especially when it's busy! I still get anxious when I'm dealing with lateness, whether my own or my dad's but I've learned that sometimes we just run behind... Take a deep breath and do your best and what happens will happen! Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm apparently too dumb to figure out that "Name" was not supposed to be MYYY name (Jaime), but the blog post name for today, which is The Win/Lose Day, otherwise known as "Literally... a bag of crap". I'm blaming this all on my 6 month old teething baby who is wanting to suckle. All. Night. LONG.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I do believe it is somewhat hereditary. My mom was AWFUL.. but I blame it on my anxiety and tendency to procrastinate on things. She also had pretty bad anxiety. The only thing that keeps me going to things on time is remembering how embarrassing it was for me to experience my mom's untimeliness!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend is late for everything! It's been very hard on me. I am never late for anything, but since I met him, we are always late. For some people, it's just a part of who they are. I have realized I can't change him, now I just assume we will be late when he is involved and I find it less irritating to me.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with finding a solution that works for you!
My mom is always early and it used to drive me nuts. Except now I'm always early :\
