Amber received a set of hair ties and clips from Alyssa to check out for you guys! The hair ties are elastic bands that also look very cute on your wrist when not in use. I typically keep a rubber band on my wrist because I am often having to pull my hair back. Young girls can get very active! Amber likes to wear her hair down but there are many times when she needs it up. We live in Arizona and the heat get be a bit much. Mother's Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway Sponsor Spotlight~ Sweetbottoms Baby Boutique

Sweetbottoms Baby Boutique is going to give our winner a Sea Current Diaper Sprayer! If the winner already has a diaper sprayer (or does not need one) They are able to substitute with the equivalent in store credit!

     The Sea Current Diaper Sprayer, has a clear hose and comes complete with all attachments needed to quickly and easily attach to a standard 3/8 inch compression fitting (valve behind toilet). Each unit comes packaged with a sprayer with a trigger which controls the pressure, flow control value, t-valve, compression connectors, 4 foot reinforced PVC hose, built in check valve (one way valve), wall bracket, double sided tape and screws/plastic anchors. Each unit take approximately 5-10 minutes to install with a standard adjustable pair of pliers.

     The T-valve has a built in check valve that allows for variable flow control, not just on/off.

Our Experience:

     We didn't have the correct stop valve behind our toilet. The valve we had is a push in type attachment. The sprayer screws in. So as soon as hubby got the correct valve from the hardware store we were in business! The whole thing comes in one piece, pre-assembled! It was super easy to attach to the toilet! 

The diagram that was included

     Hubby did it for me since he was already taking care of the new valve, but I could have easily done it myself. We started by turning off the water supply outside (some houses have a shut off valve in the bathroom for the toilet but as you can already tell our house is "different") then flush the toilet a couple times to get the water out of the tank. You will be taking the supply line off of the tank, leaving a hole, so obviously you don't want any water in there.  Then take the smallest hose and attach it to the tank and the other open end gets screwed onto the valve coming from the wall. There is a small handle on the check valve that controls the water pressure. You could also turn it off when not in use if you are afraid it may leak.

     Our sprayer has had an occasional leak which is completely my fault! After using the sprayer you should shake out any water left in the nozzle before hanging it on the wall bracket. There is always a little water in there and with the slight angle of the bracket it will drip out. Shaking that excess out will solve that! 

     Overall I am very pleased with the sprayer that Sweetbottoms sent us. The water pressure is great, easy to install, no leaks (when excess water isn't left in the nozzle) and it looks very sleek! It is a very affordable $36.99 and Sweetbottoms has free shipping always with no minimum purchase* (US only and some items have a heavy item handling charge if the total order is less than $40)

Amber was so excited to get her striped shirt in the mail. I picked her up from school early to take her to see the Hunger Games and brought the package with me. She changed her shirt in the car on the way to the movies!
My first impression was that this shirt was so very soft and comfy looking! It has a fantastic stretch and I love the length of the torso! Amber has her dads height which also comes with a long torso. That means all of her shirts are too short and you can almost always see her belly hang out of them (or her butt crack, sorry for the TMI but it isn't just Amber, I see it at work and at her school too!). My Experience:

     I have chosen to review the Organic Molded Underwire Nursing Bra from Leading Lady! I started my review before I even received the bra by using Leading Lady’s Bra Fit Calculator. I found the calculator very easy to use. When I got the bra and tried it on I found that it was also accurate! 

     The Organic Molded Underwire Nursing Bra is 100% certified organic from soil to finished product! There are no dyes or bleaching which means it is only available in a "natural" color which I really like. There is also a cute little eyelet type detail on the front between the cups helping you to feel that touch of femininity. The molded cups are seamless to create a smoothness under your clothing. 

     I really like the inner sling on this bra! I have several other nursing bras that only have an one sling on the outer side of the breast and the whole cup attaches to just that one sling. I feel much more support from the Leading Lady bra because the sling supports both sides of the breast! It basically creates a triangle shaped opening when the clasp is released for nursing!

     Overall this bra is extremely comfortable (I even wore it overnight which I don't usually do with an underwire), very supportive, stylish, has convenient functionality and is 100% certified organic!

Perplexus is a maze in a ball! What you do is roll a small marble through a 3D maze. Better than a flat maze, you will be flipping, twisting and starting over. There is more than one track to choose inside this challenging sphere of obstacles. The track is not enclosed so you must work with gravity to keep it from falling off. That is why I said you will be starting over. Once you master the maze you are still not done! You can compete with your friends and family to beat each others times, or to beat your own record time!
Perplexus is not only fun and entertaining, it also is a tool to help develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and some spacial reasoning skills! Best of all, there are no batteries required and is perfectly portable!

Our Experience:

This ball of entertainment is recommended for age 6 and up but we found that any age was entertained! Even Charlotte at 15 months was entertained by the perplexing faces we all made while trying to maneuver the marble through the maze or the sounds made when there was a close call, as well as the groans when the marble went off track and the game started over!
You can get so involved in the maze that you don't want to put it down. You always think "I got it this time" and don't want to lode your place! BUT that is not a problem because it included a stand so that you could stop in the middle of a track and pick up where you left off later. Just set it in the stand to keep it from rolling the marble out of place.
Overall the whole family loved this! Even Daddy was perplexed at times! It is no wonder that it has won so many awards! Definitely a must have on holiday and birthday wish lists for all ages!

Manic Mommy Monday ~ Is Tardiness Hereditary?

It is almost noon and I am posting a Manic Mommy Monday post. Why? Because I am late to everything! 

Let's start at the beginning. I was born 2 weeks after I was due. Could that mean something? I have always had issues with being on time. When I was in 5th grade my teacher got me a Christmas gift. It wasn't a joke either! It was... an alarm clock! At the time we were quite low on funds, I did not grow up with many things and was often on the gift list in several charity groups like Operation Santa Claus so the gift was very much appreciated.Why do I think it is hereditary? My dad makes this joke a lot "Your mom will be late to her own funeral". He and my mom have not been a couple since I was 15 and he still will say it now and then. He has good reason, she is always late too.Most mornings Amber is telling me "Let's go Mom". That makes me feel like crap! I don't want to be the reason she is always late, and I certainly don't her to start being late everywhere. So far she seems to have a handle on it and is embarrassed when she is late because if me. Even writing this right now I feel terrible! I can just hear her telling her friends "Well, you know my mom... late to everything". I want to be more dependable in that respect. I feel like they can only depend on me to be late! You know it's bad when your husband tells you to be somewhere 30 minutes early because he knows that is the only way you will be on time.I have tried changing the clocks and that doesn't work if you know they are ahead, and you can't change the time on your cell phone! I just need to try harder! Thank you for reading my rant! Feel free to share any tips... please? lol
